Building Systems to Protect Your Company

Building Systems

No matter your purpose for having a business, systems will help you get there. Systems help you create successes you can repeat with great regularity. Systems help you counteract your weakness as a business owner. Systems help you know what is working and what isn’t. Systems help you share your vision, mission, and values with your audience.

What systems are you working on this year?

Even if you are the only owner of your business. Writing out your vision, mission, and values can help you know where you are going. It can help guide you through the process. It can let other people know what you stand for.  Also, writing it out can help you in the development of your systems.

Part of this exercise is to help you be intentional in the foundation of your business. Your business can be a platform for your vision, mission, and values, but you must operate intentionally. If you want to make sure your intentionality sticks, build systems. If you build systems that help your business grow and follow your vision, you will make sure those who come behind you in business must operate according to your vision, mission, and values.

No matter what your business and your mission are, if you can’t sustain your business model, it can’t make lasting change. You must create a business that serves a need. A business that can make enough money to support your vision, mission, and values. You must be intentional about how your business does that. You must make sure your business makes money in line with your vision, mission, and values. Systems help you get there.

Don’t forget that failure is part of the process. Your business may fail, your product may fail. But your mission won’t. You must own your errors. You must learn from them, and you must move forward. That is how you will reach success. That is how you will innovate. That is how you will change the world. Whatever happens, don’t give up on your mission. Sometimes you must give up a product, sometimes you must pivot from your original plan, but once you find your mission, don’t stop.

All you need is to focus on the bigger picture of why you started your business in the first place, and create systems to make your vision a reality.

I am walking this journey with you. I am taking big steps and trying to build these systems in my business to help you build your systems. It is hard work. It is time consuming work. I don’t always get it right the first time. But, hopefully, it is having an impact on the community I have the pleasure to serve.

Systems I am Working on For You

Today, let’s talk about the systems I am building for you. I want to make the Corporate Counsel Program better for you. I want to make it give you what you need. This is what I have going on right now:

  • I am building an Education Center that will have information on legal issues common to your business. This will be based on topics, so you can learn more about a subject that interests you. I will update old content and create new opportunities to learn more about the legal that impacts your business everyday.

How You Can Help Me Help You

This is where you can help me out. I want to know what will make the program better for you. I am considering some audio and video content to help more fully explain issues that you may face every day.

Every decision you make in your business has some legal impact. The education resources are designed to help you stay informed so those decisions become easier and you can stay ahead of the legal curve.

So, can you tell me what you would like to know more about? What topics do you deal with on a regular basis that we haven’t discussed (or that you would like to know more about)? Your answers could very well help other entrepreneurs struggling with similar issues.

Let Me Know What You Are Working On

The Corporate Counsel Program is designed so we can talk and you don’t worry about extra bills. I want you to keep me in the loop. If you are working on a new system or a new process, let me know what is going on (even before your annual review), so we can make sure your legal works with your new system.

I am thankful to you for walking on this journey with me and being a part of this community. I look forward to talking with you soon.

Helping You Sleep at Night Knowing Your Business is Protected. Legally.

Even if you have been in business for years and everything has been fine. It can all change. Fast. And you could lose it all. If you don’t know how to protect yourself.

After working with entrepreneurs for years, I realized that many entrepreneurs have the same legal questions. And the same problems. Many entrepreneurs, though they understand that legal is an important part of protecting your business, just put it off. You always think you can do it later. Until there isn’t a later.
